I think overall program objectives (C) are also important for executives to understand, as it gives them a broader perspective on the company's compensation strategy.
I believe executives also need to understand the differences in pay levels for the different levels of the organization (D). It helps in creating a fair and transparent compensation structure.
I think the greatest level of understanding is needed in the details of their individual compensation packages. That's where the most personal interest lies.
