Actual exam question for VMware's 5V0-31.20 exam
Question #: 58
Topic #: 5
[All 5V0-31.20 Questions]

The administrator for an existing VMware Cloud Foundation instance has one management domain (sfo-m01) and one workload domain (sfo-w01). The workload domain consists of two vSphere clusters (sfo-w01-ci01 and sfo-w01-cl02) using vSAN as principle storage.

The workload domain also includes an NSX-T Edge Cluster deployed in the default cluster (sfo-w01-c01) of the workload domain. The first cluster (sfo-w01-c01) rack1, and the second cluster (sfo-w01-c01) resides in rack 1.

A new project is underway, and the capacity of the second cluster (sfo-w0I cl02) of the workload domain that will be consumed by vRealize Automation needs to be expanded Rack 1 is at capacity. Eight additional hosts have been placed in rack 2 and cabled within the new rack. The network architecture is an L3 spine leaf architecture.

Which cluster expansion type should be selected when expanding the second cluster using the SDDC Manager UI?

That makes sense, MTU and VLAN ID are essential for network pool configuration.

I believe MTU is another value that must be defined in the network pool configuration.

Yes, VLAN ID is definitely one of the values required. But what other value do you think we need to define?

I'm pretty sure DNS and NTP are not required for the network pool configuration. Those are more for the overall network setup, not the specific pool configuration.

Alright, let's think this through. We need to define the VLAN ID to specify the virtual network, and the MTU to set the maximum packet size, right? Those seem like the two most important values here.

You know, this question reminds me of that time I tried to set up a network pool for my home network. I ended up accidentally configuring the MTU to be the same as my cat's weight. Needless to say, it didn't work very well.

Hold on, I think PTP might be a red herring here. Isn't that for time synchronization? I doubt that's one of the required values for the network pool configuration.

Hmm, I think VLAN ID and MTU are definitely important for setting up the network pools, but I'm not sure about the other options. Maybe DNS and NTP could be useful too?

Wow, this is a tricky one! I'm not sure about the answer, but I'm guessing it's got something to do with configuring the network settings for the workload domain.
