I see your point, But what about option A, creating image mappings for the OS types? Wouldn't that reduce clutter as well?

But wouldn't that lead to a lot of templates? Option C might be a good compromise, upgrading existing templates with user input for OS selection.

I disagree, I believe option D is better. Creating a Cloud Template for each OS type and letting the user pick the application type.

I think option B makes sense, creating a Cloud Template for each application type with a combination of OS types.

Haha, I can just imagine someone trying to create a template for each OS type and then having the user select the application type. That would be a complete mess!

I'm not sure about option B. Creating a separate template for each application type with a combination of OS types seems like it could still lead to a lot of templates.

I'm leaning towards option C. Creating a single cloud template with user input to select the OS type seems like the most flexible and scalable solution.

Yeah, that's a good point. I think options B and C are the most promising here.

I agree. We definitely don't want to create a separate template for each application and OS type, that would just lead to more sprawl.

Okay, let's think this through. The key here is to reduce template sprawl, which means we need to find a way to consolidate the different application and OS combinations into as few templates as possible.
