A and E seem the most likely. Gotta love those traffic shaping rules and VMkernel adapters, they're like a bad comedy duo.

D looks like the culprit to me. That host is probably trying to do the two-step and juggle two VDSes at once. Impressive, but not ideal.

B: Exactly, that host needs to make up its mind and disconnect from the other VDS.

A: It's like trying to be in two places at once, not a good idea in the virtual world.

B: Agreed, having an ESXi host connected to multiple VDSes can cause some serious issues.

A: Definitely sounds like a case of D. That host needs to pick a VDS and stick with it.

I'd go with B and E. Virtual machines on the host and those sneaky VMkernel adapters, classic combo.

User 2: Yeah, and also because the ESXi host had VMkernel adapters assigned to the switch. That could be causing the problem.

User 1: I think the issue is because the virtual machines network adapters on the host are connected to the switch.

Hmm, I think it's option E. Those pesky VMkernel adapters can really mess things up, am I right?

User 2: Yeah, I've had issues with them before. Option E seems like the most likely reason.

I believe another reason could be that the VDS is configured with ingress traffic shaping.

I think the issue might be that the ESXi host is connected to another VDS.
