I think C might be the right one because it mentions 'Interface Status is equal to 'Down''.

But A says 'Interface Status is equal to 'Warning'', which makes more sense to me.

Good point. I think option D might be the best choice here. Suppressing the alert when the Node Name is 'target' and the Node Status is 'Down' would cover both scenarios.

I'm not so sure about option C. What if the router is up, but the critical devices on the other side are down? Wouldn't we still want to get an alert for that?

Haha, I can just imagine the SolarWinds server sending out a flood of alerts every time the router goes down. We need to put a stop to that!

Hmm, I'm leaning towards option C. Suppressing the alert when the Node Name is 'target' and the Interface Status is 'Down' seems like the best approach to me.

Yeah, that combination ensures we only suppress alerts when the critical router is actually down.

I think option C makes sense too. Node Name and Interface Status are key factors.

I agree. We don't want to suppress alerts when the router is down, but we also don't want to get alerts about the critical devices on the other side of the WAN link.

This is a tricky question. We need to think carefully about the conditions that would trigger the alert suppression.
