I believe bytes spilled to local cache is also an indicator of a query being too large to fit in memory.

I agree with Denise. Bytes spilled to remote storage could also signal the query is too big.

Yes, that makes sense. If it has to spill to local and remote storage, it's definitely too large for memory.
