D sounds like it's just covering add-on modules, which is way too narrow. The SCR has to be for the core Sitecore platform, not just extensions.

C can't be right. Why would the SCR only provide dev images? Sitecore is all about enterprise-grade solutions, so the registry must cover production as well.
