Universal Containers has created a Discount Schedule with the override Behavior set to All Tiers and applied it to a Product. A sales rep then adds this Product to a Quote, manually changes the discount percent of a discount Tier, and saves the Quote.

Haha, the admin can just waltz in and change the discount schedule whenever they want? That's like the Salesforce equivalent of your boss changing your commission plan mid-quarter. Not cool.

Yes, that makes sense too. It's important for the sales rep to know when the override amount is final.

I think clicking those buttons could also be a point where the override amount is locked in.

But what about clicking the Save or Quick Save buttons?

Hmm, I think the correct answer is D. Once the quote is approved, the discount override should be locked in. But who knows, Salesforce can be so unpredictable sometimes.

I agree with User2, because at that point, the override amount will not be affected by changes made by the Admin.

I'm pretty sure the override will stick if I save the quote, but I'm not totally sure. Discount schedules are a pain in the neck.

I think the sales rep can be assured at the point when the Quote status has changed to Approved.

Wait, so the admin can still change the discount schedule even after I manually override it? That's messed up!
