Personally, I think option C could also work. Adding the Update Case shape to the Reservation case type to capture changes to each component cost seems straightforward.

I agree with Rosann. Creating a declare expression to update the reservation total when the cost of each component changes seems like a good solution.

I disagree with Gayla. I believe option B is more efficient. Configuring the Create Case shape to propagate the total cost from each child case makes more sense to me.
