Consider the following requirement: Car dealers cannot modify orders in the Fulfillment stage. Which security solution do you use to satisfy the requirement?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

Access of Role to Object (ARO) is used to define the level of access that a role has to instances of a class. In this case, an ARO can be created for the car dealers' role to restrict modify access to orders in the Fulfillment stage. Reference: Pega Platform Help - Security.

I'm feeling the 'Access group' option. We can create a group specifically for the dealers and control their access that way. Sounds like a nice, tidy solution to me.

Access group would definitely help in maintaining security by limiting the dealers' access to modify orders.

I think using 'Access group' is a good choice to restrict modifications by car dealers in the Fulfillment stage.

I agree, creating a group for the dealers seems like the best way to control their access.

But wouldn't using Access Deny be more specific in restricting modifications in the Fulfillment stage?

Haha, I bet the car dealers are just itching to modify those orders. We should just block them completely and be done with it. Option D all the way, baby!

I see your point, but I think completely denying access with Option D is the safest bet.

But wouldn't it be better to limit their access based on their role? Option A might be a more secure solution.

I disagree, I believe the correct answer is A) Access of Role to Object.

Hold up, what if we use 'Access of Role to Object'? That way we can assign different roles to the dealers and restrict their access based on those roles. Seems like a more robust solution to me.

Hmm, I'm not so sure. Option D, 'Access Deny', seems more straightforward. If we just deny the dealers the ability to modify orders during the Fulfillment stage, that solves the problem, right? Simple and effective!

But what about option A, 'Access of Role to Object'? Wouldn't that also work?

I think option B, 'Access When', is the way to go. It sounds like it would allow us to control when the dealers can modify orders, which is exactly what the requirement needs.
