What is referred as NDS fast restart?

AFast restart is where the NDS processes are restarted without deleting the shared memory areas and reloading the database from backup / journals. The newly started NDS processes simply attach to the pre-existing DB SHM. Once the node is running it will then connect to remote nodes and resynchronize with the primary node in the normal manner.

BNDS node restart performed by disconnecting and re-connecting the power cables.

CEvery NDS reboot usually is referred to as fast-restart.
