Definitely C. The source IP has to be the unicast address of the interface, otherwise how would the neighbors know where to send the acknowledgments?

Haha, imagine if the source IP was 224.0.0.5 - that's the address for EIGRP, not OSPF! Talk about a brain fart.

Wait, is the source IP the router's system address? I thought that was only for OSPF hello packets.

I believe the correct answer is C) The unicast IP address of the interface the update is being sent on, because that's where the update is originating from.

I'm not sure, but I think it could also be the system address of the router.

I agree with Starr, it makes sense that the source IP address would be the unicast IP address of the interface.

C'mon, everyone knows it's the unicast IP address of the interface. That's just basic OSPF knowledge!

Hmm, I think it's option B. The OSPF update is sent to the multicast address 224.0.0.6, right?

Let's double check, but I'm confident it's option C. The unicast IP address of the interface is where the update originates from.

I think you're mistaken. Option D, the system address of the router, is the correct source IP address in an OSPF update.

No, I'm pretty sure it's option C. The source IP address is the unicast IP address of the interface.

I believe it's actually option A, 224.0.0.5 is the source IP address in an OSPF update.
