Router R1, in AS 65540, has the export policy shown below. It advertises an aggregate route to eBGP peer router R2 in 65550. What is the AS Path of the aggregate route received by router R2?
I'm just gonna guess 'all of the above' and hope for the best. At this point, I'm not even sure what an AS Path is anymore. Maybe it's just a fancy way of saying 'router goes brrr'.
The correct answer is definitely D) 65550 65540. I mean, why would the AS Path only include the local AS number? That's way too easy. Gotta throw in the remote AS number too to really spice things up.
I think the answer is B) 65540 1. The aggregate route is being advertised to an eBGP peer, so the AS Path should include both the local AS number and the AS number of the next-hop router, which is 1 in this case.
The AS Path of the aggregate route received by router R2 is 65540. The export policy shows that R1 is advertising an aggregate route, and the AS number of R1 is 65540, so the AS Path will be just the AS number of R1, which is 65540.
