NetApp Exam NS0-593 Topic 8 Question 51 Discussion

Actual exam question for NetApp's NS0-593 exam
Question #: 51
Topic #: 8
[All NS0-593 Questions]

A customer wants to connect a NetApp AFF A700 system to a 40GbE switch. The controllers have a 10/40G Ethernet card in slot 4 for this purpose. The link comes up fine on node 2, but it will not come up on node 1. You look at the AutoSupport data for the nodes in question and see the output shown in the exhibit.

What is the cause of the customer's problem?

The customer should double-check the cable they're using. You can't just plug in any old thing and expect it to work on a 40GbE setup.

Haha, imagine if the customer tried to use a garden hose instead of a proper 40GbE cable. That would be a classic tech support moment!

I'm going with option D - the port has an incorrect SFP inserted. That's probably causing the connection issue on node 1.

The cable being plugged in upside down? Really? That's pretty amateur-level stuff. I doubt that's the problem.

I believe the issue could also be with the SFP inserted in the port.

I agree with Oliva, the ports might be configured incorrectly.

Hmm, looks like the ports are configured for 4x10Gbit instead of 40Gbit. That's gotta be the issue here.

User 3: Maybe they just need to reconfigure the ports for 40Gbit.

I think the cause of the problem is option C.
