Hmm, I don't know. A GUID might be a good choice if we need to integrate with a lot of different systems. It could provide a consistent way to identify the data. But you guys make a good point about natural keys being more meaningful.

Yeah, GUIDs are great for a lot of things, but for this use case, I'm not convinced. We should focus on making the virtual tables as intuitive and efficient as possible.

I agree. A GUID doesn't really tell us anything about the data. Plus, it takes up more space in the database. I think we should look for a column or set of columns that uniquely identify the data.

I'm not sure if using a GUID as the primary key is the best solution. Wouldn't it be better to use a natural key that has meaning to the business?
