Ah, the old 'square peg in a round hole' situation. The SharePoint Admin role is about as useful as a chocolate teapot in this case.

The solution is definitely 'B) No'. You can't expect a SharePoint Admin to magically control Microsoft Defender for Office 365. Nice try, though!

This is a classic case of 'close, but no cigar'. The SharePoint Administrator role is not enough to manage all the things mentioned in the question.

Hmm, I don't think the SharePoint Administrator role is the right choice here. Seems like we need a more specific role that covers all the required areas.

No, because SecAdmin1 also needs to manage Microsoft Defender for Office 365 settings and policies for Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.

Yes, because the SharePoint Administrator role should allow SecAdmin1 to manage SharePoint settings.

The SharePoint Administrator role doesn't give SecAdmin1 the ability to manage Microsoft Defender for Office 365 settings and policies. This solution doesn't meet the goal.
