Haha, E) auth.* |logger.example.org looks like it's trying to pipe the auth messages to the remote logger. I doubt that's a valid syslog configuration, but it's a creative attempt!

I agree with Quentin, because the @ symbol is used to specify a remote syslog server

This is a tough one, but I'm going to go with A) auth.* @logger.example.org. It just seems the most straightforward way to send all auth messages to a remote syslog server.

Yeah, A) auth.* @logger.example.org makes the most sense for sending auth messages to a remote syslog server.

Hmm, I'm not sure about this one. I'm leaning towards C) auth.* syslog://logger.example.org/, but the 'syslog://' prefix seems a bit unusual. Oh well, maybe the exam writer is just trying to be tricky.

D) auth.*:logger.example.org looks good to me. The colon separates the facility and the remote server address, which seems like a valid configuration.

I think the correct answer is A) auth.* @logger.example.org. The '@' symbol is used to specify a remote syslog server, and the 'auth.*' facility will send all messages to the remote logger.
