I see your point, but I believe it's false because the service() method is just a generic method and doesn't handle all requests for a particular portlet.

Seriously, who comes up with these portlet questions? It's like they're trying to trip us up on purpose.

This question is a real head-scratcher. I'm just going to go with my gut and say 'True' because it sounds more official.

Wait, isn't the service() method supposed to handle the portlet mode? I thought that was its whole job.

I think it's true because the service() method is responsible for handling requests and directing them to the correct method.

Nah, man. I'm pretty sure the service() method just dispatches to the appropriate method. It doesn't handle all the requests itself.

The service() method definitely handles all requests for a portlet. That's like, the whole point of it, right?

That's correct. It dispatches to the appropriate method based on the portlet mode.
