Your network has an unmanaged switch between the hosts and your EX Series switch. After the traffic enters the EX Series switch, each host must be on a separate VLAN.
Ah, the age-old question of how to VLAN-ize your network. I'd go with C. Trunk mode is the way to go, unless you want your network to end up in a tangled web of spaghetti VLANs.
I disagree, I believe option A is the correct choice. Using an input firewall filter to match the source MAC or IP address of the hosts makes more sense.
Hmm, I'm not sure about that. Wouldn't an input firewall filter on the interface be a better way to match the source MAC or IP and assign the VLANs? That seems more straightforward to me.
I think the correct answer is C. Configuring the interface to trunk mode is the way to go here. Separating the hosts into VLANs on the EX Series switch is the goal, and trunk mode allows for VLAN tagging.
