You have been given a user story for an ATM application and have been reviewing it. The following are two of the acceptance criteria:

AC 1: The account balance must be displayed to the user as fast as possible to ensure they do not leave during the transaction.

Hmm, I'm gonna have to go with the classic 'D) The acceptance criteria are not prioritized'. How do we know which one is more important? Seems like a classic case of 'all the bells and whistles' syndrome.

I think the acceptance criteria should be prioritized to ensure the most important aspects are tested first.

I'm going with B as well. 'Fast as possible' and 'easily' are way too vague. This feels more like a user goal than a testable acceptance criterion.

I believe the story is not independent from other stories, which could cause issues with implementation.

Definitely B. These acceptance criteria are not concrete enough to test against. Needs more specific requirements like 'display balance within 3 seconds of login' or 'login in less than 10 seconds'.

I agree with Nelida, if we can't test the criteria, how can we ensure the feature works as intended?

I'd say the major problem is that the acceptance criteria are not testable. How do you measure 'as fast as possible'? And 'easily' is pretty subjective.

AC 1 and AC 2 seem to be contradictory. How can the balance be displayed quickly if the user has to log in first? Seems like a classic case of 'move fast and break things'.
