I'm leaning towards option A. Zkfc and standby NameNode just sounds like the most comprehensive solution for the job. Gotta love those redundant components!
Haha, the master NameNode? What is this, a monarch ruling over the cluster? I'd go with option D, the primary NameNode and JournalNode seem like the right combo here.
I'm not so sure about that, I think the primary and standby NameNodes are responsible for the management, but the JournalNode might be involved in the metadata file merge. Hmm, tough one.
Option A looks good, the Zkfc and standby NameNode seem to be responsible for the active/standby management and metadata file merge. Sounds legit to me.
I disagree, I believe the correct answer is B) Primary NameNode and standby NameNode because the Primary NameNode is responsible for managing the metadata.
