The inner side of a door header? Sounds like a great way to accidentally lock yourself out. I'm sticking with the network cabinet, where I can keep an eye on it.

But wouldn't installing it inside a network cabinet provide better protection and easier access for maintenance?

I disagree, I believe C) At the inner side of a door header is more suitable.

Control skylight? What is this, a smart home for birds? I'm going with the network cabinet, no doubt about it.

At the side of a cable trough? Seriously? That's just asking for trouble. I'd go with the door header, keep it out of the way but still accessible.

Inside a network cabinet, of course! That's the perfect spot to keep the gateway safe and secure.

I would go with placing it at the side of a cable trough for easy cable management.
