RTA is a source's DR and RTB is an RP. A multicast source sends multicast data to RTA but RTB cannot find any information about the multicast source (registered by using the PIM Register message). Why? (Select 3 answers)
The way I see it, the key here is that RTA and RTB need to be able to communicate with each other for the PIM Register message to work. If RTA can't learn the RP info, or if RTB doesn't have the right unicast routes, then it's just not going to happen.
Ha, this reminds me of that time I had to troubleshoot a multicast issue, and it turned out the problem was that the IT guy had accidentally unplugged the coffee machine. You never know what's going to cause these things!
Hmm, I'm not sure about that. What if RTB has no unicast routes to RTA? That could definitely be a problem in terms of the PIM Register message getting through.
Okay, so if the multicast source is sending data to RTA, but RTB can't find any info about the source, it sounds like there's an issue with the PIM Register message. Could it be that RTA has no unicast routes to RTB?
