You work as an IT Technician for uCertify Inc. You have to take security measures for the wireless network of the company. You want to prevent other computers from accessing the company's wireless network. Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B

MAC filtering is a security access control technique that allows specific network devices to access, or prevents them from accessing, the network. MAC filtering can also be used on a wireless network to prevent certain network devices from accessing the wireless network. MAC addresses are allocated only to hardware devices, not to persons.

MAC Filtering is the clear answer here. Unless of course, you want to go with the classic 'leave the network open and hope for the best' strategy. That's always a crowd-pleaser.

MAC Filtering is the way to go! Gotta keep those pesky neighbors off our network, am I right? Maybe we can also set up a moat and a drawbridge just for extra security.

I agree, MAC Filtering is the best choice here. RAS is more for remote access, and SSID is just the network name, so neither of those would help with preventing unauthorized access.

MAC Filtering sounds like the way to go. It's a pretty straightforward method to control access based on hardware addresses. Definitely better than WEP, which is pretty outdated these days.
