This question is a piece of cake. It's like asking a FortiGate to remember its own name.

I heard the exam question was so easy, even a FortiSwitch could answer it!

A is definitely wrong. The CPU doesn't handle hardware-based routing on FortiSwitch. That's just plain wrong.

C is just silly. ASIC hardware routing can handle both static and dynamic routing, if supported. It's not limited to just dynamic routing.

I think B is the way to go. FortiSwitch looks up the hardware routing table and then the forwarding information base (FIB).

Option D is the correct answer. FortiSwitch can handle Layer 3 routing, but it's managed by the FortiGate.

I believe FortiSwitch first looks up the hardware routing table and then the forwarding information base (FIB).

I think traffic on FortiSwitch is routed based on hardware routing table.
