A play book contains five tasks in total. An administrator executed the playbook and four out of five tasks finished successfully, but one task failed. What will be the status of the playbook after its execution?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B

Playbook jobs that include one or more failed tasks are labeled as Failed in Playbook Monitor. FortiAnalyzer_7.0_Study Guide page No: 247

Playbook jobs that include one or more failed tasks are labeled as Failed in Playbook Monitor. A failed status, however, does not mean that all tasks failed. Some individual actions may have been completed successfully.

Haha, 'Upstream_failed'? What kind of made-up status is that? I think the options are pretty straightforward here - it's either a success or a failure. Time to use my logic skills and make the right call.

I'm not so sure. What if the failed task was something minor, like a non-critical step? Shouldn't the playbook be considered a 'Success' since most of the tasks completed? I'm leaning towards option A.

I agree with Merlyn. If even one task in the playbook fails, the entire playbook should be considered a failure. The goal of a playbook is to execute all the tasks seamlessly, so a partial success is not good enough.

Hmm, this is a tricky one. I'd say the status of the playbook should be 'Failed', since one of the tasks didn't complete successfully. Even if the majority of the tasks were successful, the playbook as a whole didn't execute completely as expected.
