I believe the reason could also be D) SSL offloading was NOT configured on the load balancer, causing the login issue after failover.

Hmm, I'm not sure. Maybe the load balancer was just having a bad day and decided to make everyone's life a little more interesting. Option C, I guess?

This is a classic case of not having a proper failover mechanism in place. I'd go with option B as the most likely reason.

I agree with Darrin, it makes sense that clients had to login again if they were sending requests to a failed load balancer.

I think D is the correct answer. If SSL offloading was not set up, the load balancer wouldn't be able to handle the encrypted traffic, causing the clients to be forced to log in again.

Option B seems the most likely. If mirroring was not configured, the load balancer wouldn't be able to seamlessly fail over, and clients would need to log in again.
