When would you expect to see a Reassociation Request frame'

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: D

A Reassociation Request frame is sent every time a STA roams from one AP to another within the same ESS. A Reassociation Request frame is similar to an Association Request frame, but it also contains the BSSID of the current AP that the STA is leaving. This allows the new AP to coordinate with the old AP and transfer the STA's context information, such as security keys, QoS parameters, and buffered frames. This way, the STA can maintain its connectivity and session continuity during roaming . This question is a piece of cake! The answer is clearly C. Reassociation is all about going back to a previous AP.

D seems like the right answer to me. The Reassociation Request is used every time a STA roams, regardless of the specific circumstances.

I'm not sure, but I think the answer might be D. Wouldn't a STA need to send a Reassociation Request every time it roams to a new AP?

I'm pretty sure the correct answer is C. The Reassociation Request is used when a STA roams back to a previously associated AP.

I think the answer is B. The Reassociation Request frame is only used for FT roaming, not regular association.

I disagree, I believe the answer is C. The STA only needs to send a Reassociation Request when it roams back to an AP it has previously been associated with.

I think the answer is A, because it makes sense for the STA to reassociate with the AP it has been associated with before.
