I'm gonna have to disagree with you there, Tomoko. Tape is just too slow and inconvenient for this kind of use case. You'd have to wait forever to retrieve any data. Object storage is definitely the way to go, hands down.

I'm not so sure. Tape might actually be the best option here. It's super cheap for long-term storage, and you don't need to worry about the data degrading over time. Plus, you can easily take it off-site for extra redundancy.
