I've heard that macOS is also used in some embedded systems, but not as much as Linux

I don't think so, Windows is more commonly used in desktop PCs

Yep, Linux is the clear winner here. I mean, have you seen the size of a Windows installation these days? It would be overkill for an embedded system. And macOS? Forget about it, that's way too fancy for an embedded device.

You guys are spot on. Linux is the way to go for embedded systems. It's open-source, highly customizable, and has a vast ecosystem of tools and libraries. Plus, it's free, so it's a no-brainer for cost-conscious embedded projects.

I agree with you, Linux does seem like the obvious choice here. Windows and macOS are generally more resource-intensive and not as well-suited for embedded applications. Chrome OS is a non-starter, it's designed for Chromebooks, not embedded systems.

Hmm, this is a tricky one. I'm pretty sure the answer is Linux, but I could be wrong. Embedded systems typically require a lightweight and efficient OS, and Linux fits the bill perfectly.
