I agree with Rosita. The firewall could definitely be causing the alerts to not go through.

I believe the Citrix Web App Firewall blocking the alerts could also be a possibility. It might be interfering with the SNMP communication.

That's a valid point. Another reason could be that the Citrix ADC is only using standard licensing, which may limit its SNMP capabilities.

I think the reason for the alert failure could be because the community name was not configured in the SNMP trap destination settings.

That's a good point, The SNMP version could be the issue as well.

I think it could also be because the Citrix ADC is configured for SNMP version 1, which might not be compatible with the alerts.

Haha, classic Citrix question. They love to throw in those little SNMP gotchas, don't they? I bet the answer is something super simple, like the community name or the SNMP version.

I'm leaning towards the community name being the issue. That's a classic SNMP gotcha that trips up a lot of admins. Definitely double-check that setting.

Hmm, the Web App Firewall blocking the alerts is an interesting theory. I wonder if there's a way to check the firewall logs to see if anything's being blocked. Might be worth a look.

You know, I had a similar issue a while back. Turned out the community name was the problem. Make sure that's set up properly on both the ADC and the manager side. Otherwise, the traps just won't go through.

We should double check that on both the ADC and the manager side.

That makes sense. The traps won't go through if that's not set up properly.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The SNMP version is the first thing I'd check. I bet it's set to version 1, which can be a bit finicky. Might be worth upgrading to version 2 or 3 if that's the case.

Hmm, this is a tricky one. I'm not sure why the alerts aren't coming through, but I have a few ideas. The Citrix Web App Firewall blocking the alerts seems like a possibility, or maybe the community name wasn't configured correctly. I doubt it's the licensing, but the SNMP version could definitely be an issue.
