Hmm, I don't know much about Citrix, but 'Direct server return' sounds like it's straight out of a bad sci-fi movie. Maybe they should try 'Interdimensional portal' mode instead?

Haha, I bet the admins wish they could just deploy the ADC in 'Autocomplete' mode, where it just figures everything out on its own!

I'm not sure, but Transparent mode seems like it might be the best option here. It would allow the ADC to monitor the traffic without disrupting the connection.

Direct server return sounds like the way to go. That way, the servers can communicate directly with the clients, and the ADC can just handle the response traffic.

Nah, I'd go with One-arm mode. That way, the ADC can inspect the traffic without being in the direct path, which seems more flexible.

I see your point. One-arm mode does offer flexibility in deployment while still allowing for traffic inspection.

True, Transparent mode could work as well, but One-arm mode might be easier to set up in this scenario.

But wouldn't Transparent mode also work since it allows the ADC to inspect traffic without changing the IP address?

Hmm, I think the Citrix ADC should be deployed in Inline mode. That way, all traffic has to go through the ADC, ensuring tight control over the client-server communication.

I think Transparent mode could also work, as it allows the ADC to intercept and forward traffic between servers and clients seamlessly.
