Atlassian Exam ACP-610 Topic 1 Question 27 Discussion

Actual exam question for Atlassian's ACP-610 exam
Question #: 27
Topic #: 1
[All ACP-610 Questions]

Currently, the Done column of the Finance board shows all issues ever completed, regardless of age. Now, the team wants to do a periodic clean-up of the Done column.

* They want to do the clean-up whenever it is needed on an ad-hoc basis.

* They want to be able to report on all the issues that were removed during each clean-up.

Which solution meets their need?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

The team can use the Release link to remove issues as needed from the Done column. This will create a version in the project that contains all the issues that were removed, and the team can use the version report to see the details of each clean-up. Excluding issues in Done status from the board filter or via a sub-filter will not remove them from the Done column, but only hide them from view. Excluding issues where Resolution != EMPTY from the board filter will also hide issues from other columns that have a resolution set, which is not desired.Reference:[Releasing a version], [Managing Jira Projects Data Center and Server: Certification Bundle]

Option C looks good to me. Though I have to say, the 'Done' column sounds like the team's version of the 'Procrastination Station' - might as well clean it up regularly!

Hold up, did someone say 'ad-hoc'? I'm all about that. Option A all the way - remove issues as needed using the Release link. Gotta love that spontaneity!

Plus, it's perfect for those ad-hoc clean-ups.

Hmm, I'm not sure about that. Option B might be the easiest way to go - just exclude the Done status from the board filter altogether. Simple and gets the job done.

I'd go with Option D. Excluding issues where Resolution != EMPTY from the board filter would effectively achieve the same thing without the extra step of a sub-filter.

But option B would still allow us to report on the removed issues.

Option C seems the most straightforward. Excluding issues in Done status via a sub-filter would allow them to easily clean up the board as needed and report on the changes.

I agree, using a sub-filter would make it easier to manage the clean-up process and track the changes made to the Done column.
