Atlassian Exam ACP-100 Topic 1 Question 102 Discussion

Actual exam question for Atlassian's ACP-100 exam
Question #: 102
Topic #: 1
[All ACP-100 Questions]

Your business users want to know more about what is happening with the issues raised by their business unit.

They gave you a list of situations in which they want to get emails, so you know which parts of the shared notification scheme they want to be added to.

You consult with the project owner.

He doesn't want any changes to the emails that go to developers and testers.

The project owner approves of the business users getting the emails, but he would like to retain control of who

gets emails for his project.

How can you satisfy these requests?

Wait, are we sure the business users even know how to read emails? Maybe we should just send smoke signals instead.

D. Add them as Watchers. Simple, easy, and the project owner can still control it. Why overthink this?

Hmm, I'm not sure. Option A with a group might work, but C seems cleaner. Gotta love all these hoops we have to jump through just to get some emails out.

I'd have to go with B. Modifying the workflow to send the emails directly to the business users seems like the simplest solution that meets their needs.

Option C seems like the way to go here. Creating a specific role for the business users and adding that to the notification scheme would give the project owner the control he wants.

That sounds like a good solution. It gives the project owner control while still notifying the business users.

Exactly, it's important to find a balance between meeting the business users' needs and respecting the project owner's preferences.

I agree with Ramonita. It's the best way to satisfy the requests without changing the emails that go to developers and testers.
