Actual exam question for Apple's SVC-19A exam
Question #: 71
Topic #: 5
[All SVC-19A Questions]

Please refer to the following information to answer the questions on the right.

Debra has brought her iPad Pro to you for troubleshooting. She has been experiencing very slow charging of the battery and says the only way she can get a full charge is to leave the iPad alone for more than 12 hours.

She brought in an Apple Power adapter and Lightning to USB cable. When you examine the power adapter, you notice that it is an iPhone power adapter not an iPad power adapter. You also noticed she was using an iPhone 6s while waiting to see you. Debra thinks her iPad is defective because her iPhone has no issue charging with this power adapter and cable.

Based on the information Debra provided, which of the following resources can you share with her that explains the cause of the issue?

I never thought about checking the Apple Service Guide, I will look into that. Thanks for the suggestion!

But wouldn't D) Apple Service Guide be more detailed and helpful in this situation?

This is a classic case of 'user error', but the Apple Support articles will help Debra get back on track. Maybe she'll even learn to double-check her power adapters in the future. 'An iPad a day keeps the doctor away, as long as it's charged!'

C) Apple Support articles is the correct choice here. Debra's problem is pretty common, and the support articles will give her the information she needs to resolve it. Hopefully, she doesn't have to wait 12 hours to get a full charge again!

I agree, the Apple Support articles are the way to go. Debra needs to know that using the wrong power adapter can significantly slow down charging, even though it still works.

The Apple Support articles seem like the most appropriate resource to share with Debra. They'll likely have information on the differences between iPhone and iPad power adapters and how that can affect charging times.
