A developer needs to extend a complete dialog from the core component, except for one tab.

Which property can be used to achieve this goal?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: C

In AEM, when you need to extend a dialog from a core component but want to hide or exclude one tab or part of the dialog, you can use the sling:hideResource property. This property allows you to selectively hide resources (like a tab in a dialog) inherited from a super type (the core component) in your overlay or custom component.

As a developer, I'd be too busy coding to worry about this exam question. I'd just flip a coin and hope for the best.

Hold up, 'sling;hldeResource'? Really? That's not even a valid property name. I think the answer is clearly 'slingorderBefore'.

'slingorderBefore' is the property that allows you to specify the order of child nodes in a resource. It's the right choice.

Definitely not 'sling;hldeResource', that doesn't even make sense. 'slingorderBefore' is the way to go.

Hmm, this is a tough one. I'm going to go with 'sling;hldeResource' - it has the word 'hide' in it, so that seems like the logical choice.

'slingorderBefore' doesn't seem like the right option. I would go with 'sling;hldeResource' as well.

I'm not sure, but 'jcrhideProperty' might also work. It sounds like it could hide a specific property.

I believe C) sling;hldeResource is not the right choice, so it must be either A or B.

The answer has to be 'jcrhideProperty'. That's the only option that mentions 'hide', which is what we need to do for that one tab.
